Williams River Holiday Park

It was a great weekend camping.  We went up to Clarence Town, and spent the weekend at the Williams River Holiday Park.  The unpowered camping site cost about $22 a night.

Checking in Friday was reasonably painless, although I must say the lady at the office was not the friendliest around (but hey, I didn’t go there to see her!).  They do lock the gate around 5:30 PM, so you want to get in early.

The camping spots are flat, grassed, with BBQ facilities (take your own grill though!).   Running water are throughout the park, (so no need to bring your own), proper toilets and showers are also available.  There are a couple of jetty’s if you’re keen to fish or moor a small boat.

We saw some wildlife, plenty of birds, a couple of possums.

I’d definitively go back there.  Now before you head out, make sure you check the maps, because some GPS systems may take you to a completely different park.
